Deep cycle, flooded lead-antimony batteries feature a high cycle life, thick plates, a large liquid reserve, and a ten year warranty (with the exception of the S-460s and the S-530s which offer a seven year warranty). Dry charged models for export are available. Rolls Battery Engineering has been manufacturing the highest quality deep cycle lead-acid batteries for more than 60 years. Their series 5000 system of batteries has been manufactured specifically for renewable energy applications and are designed to offer up to a 20 year lifetime.
UPG
UPG's state-of-the-art lead-acid battery is a valve-regulated type—sometimes called "sealed" or "maintenance-free"—which fixes the acid electrolyte in a gel or in an absorptive fiberglass mat. The advantage of this design is that the battery needs no water additions, can be operated in any position, and can be used in close proximity to people and sensitive equipment.
Concorde
Concorde’s proprietary, maintenance-free, valve-regulated lead acid batteries, employ non-spillable absorbed glassmat (AGM) technology. Immobilized electrolyte and thick lead calcium plates are compressed within a microfibrous silica glass mat envelope which provides excellent electrolyte absorption and retention with greater contact surface to plates compared to gelled batteries, resulting in higher capacity ratings and cyclic performance. Concorde batteries have a a lower self discharge rate—five times better than flooded batteries. Expected life cycles are 5000 cycles to 10% DOD, 1000cycles to 50% DOD. UL listed as a recognized system component. Meet DOT transportation requirements and are not restricted for shipment because they are exempted from hazardous materials category. All have copper alloy terminals and silicon bronze bolts. One year warranty on all concorde batteries.
Kyocera began research and development of solar energy in 1975. With over 33 years of experience in designing solar panels, Kyocera is leading the industry with efficient and cost effective solar panel systems. Kyocera now introduces Kyocera KD modules which use a larger, more powerful, high efficiency 156mm x 156mm solar cell. These KD solar panels are intregral to the new Kyocera MyGen grid tie systems, available soon. All Kyocera modules feature extremely sturdy frames, tempered low-reflection glass covers, built-in bypass diodes and a 25-year power output warranty.
Mitsubishi modules use 50 square poly-crystalline 156mm cells in series behind tempered glass with anodized aluminum frames, and Multi-Contact locking connector output cables. The 170-watt and larger modules are designed for use in high-voltage grid-tie applications, but can be used in large industrial and off-grid applications for battery charging with the appropriate MPPT charge controller.

Each Uni-Solar framed solar module achieves high performance using Uni-Solar’s proprietary Triple Junction spectrum-splitting thin-film amorphous silicon cell design. These rugged modules do not have any glass to break. They are made on stainless steel foil, encapsulated in UV-stabilized polymers and framed with anodized aluminum.
